KABUL, Feb 19 (KUNA) — Two more soldiers of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) have been killed during the ongoing Operation Moshtarak in southern Afghanistan.
A statement from ISAF headquarters on Friday said both soldiers killed by separate incidents of small-arms fire.
Earlier, the multinational force had announced the death of its four service-members in the joint operation in the same zone of the war-battered country.
The international force said three soldiers died in two separate improvised explosive device attacks while the fourth killed small-arms fire.
Names and nationalities of none of the six soldiers were made public. However, most of the soldiers taking part in the Operation Mushtarak are from the United States and the United Kingdom.
The operation in Marja district of Helmand province was launched a week ago with the aim to rout Taliban from their last bastion in the volatile zone. (end) gk.ajs KUNA 191732 Feb 10NNNN
